Arrest warrant against CCC councillor Munni, spouse

Our Correspondent CHITTAGONG, Nov 14: A court today ordered warrant of arrest against woman councillor of Chittagong City Corporation Ferdous Begum Munni, also an influential Awami League leader and her husband MA Quaiyum for alleged obstruction to public works. The court also reprimanded the officer-in-charge of Baizid police station Nurun Nabi for releasing the spouse under custody of penal mayor of the CCC Hasan Mahmud Hasni on October 27 last. The court of metropolitan magistrate Muntasir Mamun issued the order in a case filed by executive engineer of Chittagong District Council Sabuj Barua with Baizid police in the city.
