Arrest warrant against Latif Siddique issued

A court in the city Monday issued arrest warrant against sacked minister Abdul Latif Siddique for failing to respond to its summons in a case filed for hurting religious sentiment of Muslims with his derogatory remarks on Hajj. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Snigdha Rani Chakraborty issued the warrant as the accused did not appear before the court as per its previous order. The court fixed November 27 for police report on the execution of the warrant of arrest. This is the second warrant of arrest order issued against Latif Siddique. — UNB
