Arrest warrant against Mirpur SI, ASI

A Dhaka court has issued arrest warrants against two police officials of Mirpur, Dhaka on an extortion case, reports bdnews24.com. Metropolitan Magistrate AK Azad passed the order Wednesday after finding primary evidence of allegation against the two officials. The accused are Sub-inspector Azizur Rahman and Assistant sub-inspector Mizanur Rahman. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Ranju, a resident and businessman of Shenpara, Mirpur, filed a against the two officials on Mar 27 with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court, Dhaka accusing of them of extorting Tk 10,000 from the complainant.
