Arrest warrant against Partex boss A Hashem

A Dhaka court has issued an arrest warrant against Partex Group chairman MA Hashem in a tax-evasion case, reports bdnews24.com.
Senior Special Judge’s Court judge Mohammad Jahurul Huq Sunday passed the order rejecting his petition seeking more time to appear before the court, and set Mar 8 for the next hearing.
During the hearing, defence lawyer Sanaullah Mia said Hashem could not appear before the court as he was abroad for medical treatment, another lawyer MA Jalil Ujjal told the news agency.
Mr Jalil said the court deferred the date of framing charges for the fifth time after the day's hearing.
