Arrest warrant issued against Barrister Rafiqul, Aman

A Dhaka court on Sunday issued warrant of arrest against 28 BNP men, including its Standing Committee Member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia and Joint Secretary General Aman Ullah Aman, in an arson attack case of January last.
Dhaka Metropolitan Session Judge Kamrul Hossain Molla passed the order after taking a charge-sheet in the case into cognizance filed under explosive and special powers act, BSS reported.
A total of 42 BNP leaders and activists were charge-sheeted in the case for attacking vehicles with petrol bombs near Mirpur Model Police Station in the capital city during the countrywide hartal and blockade enforced by the BNP alliance on January 28 last.
Twenty-eight accused shown arrested in the case, went into hiding soon after the case was filed by Sub Inspector (SI) Khandoker Rajib Ahmed with Mirpur Model Police Station.
