Arrest warrant issued for Minar in Ekram murder case

FENI, Aug 3 (UNB): A court issued a warrant Sunday for the arrest of BNP leader Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury Minar, the prime accused in Fulgazi Upazila chairman Ekramul Haque murder case.
Acting Judge of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Alamgir Muhammad Faruque passed the order as Minar did not surrender before the court in the stipulated time in compliance with a Supreme Court order.
On July 20, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court stayed the bail granted by the High Court to the BNP leader and asked him to surrender before the trial court within next two weeks.
