Art exhibition attracts many visitors

A 10-day art exhibition of five contemporary artists attracted a large number of visitors at Gallery Cosmos Sunday.
Participating artists of the exhibition were ShulekhaChaudhury, Nazmul Ahsan, Salma ZakiaBristy, FarzanaRipa and Afrozaa Jamil Konka. A total number of 45 artworks of 5 artists displayed at the exhibition.
Five contemporary artists by Charkon titled 'Ropbandho' had been inaugurated on September 4 at Gallery Cosmos-2.
Pema Choden, Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh, M AzizulHuq, managing director, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Bangladesh Limited and eminent artist Professor Abul Barq Alvi inaugurated the show.
The first four artists are founders of Charkon. Charkon or four corners is an expression of effort by four friends. FarzanaRipa, ShulekhaChaudhury, Salma ZakiaBristy and Nazmul Ahsan graduated from Fine Art Institute of Dhaka University, are the four corner stones of Charkon. The motivation behind forming the group was to help each other in refining and invigorating the creative evolution. This is the first exhibition of Charkon. Afrozaa Jamil Konka is participating as guest artist at the exhibition.
The exhibition will remain open to all everyday from 11am to 7pm, until September 13.
