Art exhibition by Tripura artists begins at DU today

A weeklong art exhibition by artists of Indian state of Tripura begins today (Saturday) at the Fine Arts Faculty of Dhaka University (DU), reports UNB.
Paintings of 14 artists will be on display at the exhibition, which has been arranged by Kirat, an organization of artists of India's north-eastern region.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique will inaugurate the exhibition at Zainul Gallery-2 of DU at 10:30 am.
Tripura University's VC Arun Udaya Saha and Kirat's president Pabitra Kar, MLA, among others, will attend the inaugural function, said a press release.
The gallery will remain open from 12.00 noon to 8.00pm everyday until March 25.
