ASA disburses Tk 10m in Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Feb 9 (BSS): ASA, a microfinance provider in the country, disbursed around Taka 10 million to 177 entrepreneurs of the district as loan under Agri Business Project launched in 2011.
The organization has taken up an initiative to disburse more Taka 9 million as loan to 150 entrepreneurs of all the seven upazilas in the district during the current fiscal year, sources said.
This was disclosed by the officials of ASA in a concluding ceremony of day long training for the layer farmers at Palashbari Road of the town on Sunday.
With district manager of ASA M. Mizanur Rahman in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by Sadar upazila livestock officer Dr. Rahmat Unnabi and Sadar upazila regional manager of the organization Purna Chandra Roy.
The speakers in their speeches urged the farmers to utilize the knowledge acquired from the training to be self reliant economically and to meet the demand of nutrition as well through farming layer successfully.
