Asad Ullah elected ICSB president

Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS was unanimously elected the president of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) for a three-year term (2022-2025) in its 86th Council Meeting held on Monday, says a statement.
This is his fifth term as the president of ICSB.
Mr Asad Ullah has been serving as Executive Director-Corporate Affairs and Group Company Secretary of Beximco Group since 1998.
Earlier, he served in various high positions in the Group since 1985. He did his graduation in law (LL.B.) from the University of Dhaka. He obtained LL.M. degree and also completed MBA with major in HRM.
He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM). He is also an active member of a number of professional and social organisations in the country.
The Council of the Institute, at the same meeting, also elected M Nurul Alam FCS as Senior Vice President.
Prior to this new assignment, he was the Council Member of ICSB for the term of 2013-2016 and 2019-2022. Mr. Alam is working as the Chief Corporate and External Affairs Officer of Nagad Limited.
AKM Mushfiqur Rahman FCS has been elected Vice President of the Institute.
Prior to this new assignment, he was the Council Member of ICSB for the term of 2011-2013 and 2016-2019. Mr. Rahman is working as the Director of Suraiya Parveen & Associates.
The Council has also appointed Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun FCS as the treasurer of the Institute. Mr. Mamun is working as the Company Secretary of Eastern Bank Limited (EBL).
