Ashraf for steps to stop Israeli attacks on Gaza

Sunday, 13 July 2014

Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam urged Sunday the international community to take steps to stop the barbaric attack on the people of Palestine.
“Israel has been continuing air-strikes on Gaza for the last five days, triggering a human disaster,” he said in a statement, according to a news agency.
Ashraf said such attacks by Israel on the Palestinian people in the month of holy Ramadan are not acceptable to the world community. “The people of Bengal have got stunned along with the world community at the barbaric attacks,” he said.
Voicing concern, Ashraf, also the LGRD Minister, said, “It’s an ominous sign for the world peace as there’s no improvement after diplomatic efforts by the United Nations. Besides, the declaration by the head of state of Israel to continue that attack ignoring the call of internal communities, including UN human rights, is a threat to world peace.”
