Ashraf hopes BNP will opt for peaceful movement

LGRD Minister and general secretary of the ruling Awami League (AL) Syed Ashraful Islam expressed the hope on Thursday that BNP would opt for peaceful movement in accordance with the assurance of its chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, reports BSS.
"It's their democratic right to launch movement. They could go for that. They have announced, by this time, that they would opt for peaceful movement. I hope they would go for movement accordingly," he said.
The minister said this in reply to questions of reporters at his secretariat office in the city after exchanging Eid greetings with the officers and employees of his ministry.
At an Eid-greetings exchange programme in the city on Wednesday, BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia said they want to proceed with peaceful movement.
