Ashuganj power plant unit shut down

BRAHMANBARIA, April 29: A technical glitch caused the GT-2 unit of Ashuganj Thermal Power Plant (ATTP) in Brahmanbaria, capable of producing 56 MW electricity, to shut down Wednesday, an official said. The gas turbine-2 unit went out of operation at 9:00am Wednesday, the ATPP Managing Director Abdul Khaleque said. Efforts are on to mend the fault, he said and added seven out of the eight production units of the plant are fully operational. — bdnews24.com
