Asia-Pacific Chamber delegation in city

A delegation of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) arrived in the capital on Sunday to explore opportunities for enhancing regional trade and investment cooperation, reports UNB.
Delegates from Georgia, India, Australia, Nepal, Hong Kong, Iran, Taiwan, and Turkey will hold a series of meetings with their Bangladesh counterparts during the two-day visit to Dhaka.
The delegation members are CACCI president Jemal Inaishvili (Georgia), Assistant Secretary General, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (FICCI), Atul Shunglu (India), Vice Presidents Peter McMullin (Australia) and Pradeep Kumar Shrestha (Nepal), Vice-Chairman, Kowloon Chamber of Commerce, Dr Wong Pak Yuen Leslie (Hong Kong), Senior Expert, International Affairs, Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Golnaz Salahshour (Iran), CACCI Deputy Director General, Amador R. Honrado, senior officer Wendy Yang, and Chief Adviser to CACCI President, Bahrican Cahcioglu.
It isĀ  Mr Inaishvili's first such visit since he assumed office in September this year in Kuala Lumpur.
The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) is hosting the visit. A discussion meeting will be held on Monday with FBCCI President Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed in the chair, said an official of the FBCCI.
Prime Minister's International Affairs Adviser Dr Gowher Rizvi, FBCCI first Vice President Monowara Hakim Ali and Vice President M Helal Uddin and other business leaders will be present.
