Asian International Trade Expo begins Aug 11

A ten- day trade and consumer exhibition -Asian International Trade Expo 2008- begins August 11 at the city's Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre (BCFCC).
CEMS -Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd - USA in association with CEMS Bangladesh arranged the exhibition.
President and Group Managing Director of CEMS, Meherun N. Islam in a press conference held in a city hotel Tuesday said more than 150 exhibitors of seven countries will attend the exhibition with their latest exhibit profile like consumer electronics, communication technology, automobiles, motorcycles, Food and beverage, healthcare products, personal care and beauty products, household products, real estate companies, fashion and accessories and arts and crafts.
Secretary of Ministry of Industries Sheikh Enayetullah will inaugurate the exhibition as the chief guest.
She said the main objective of the fair is to help Bangladesh consumer industry develop new alternate sources of supplies, making new contracts and discovering and capitalising new opportunities.
A total of 180 booths have been set up at the fair venue, she added.
Considering the thriving growth of Asian economy, CEMS USA has launched a series of exhibition including the Asian International Trade Expo 2008 which will showcase all products or services from Asian countries. The exhibition will revolve within Asia as the next edition will be held in Mumbai in 2009 and Singapore in 2010, the organizer informed.
The exhibition will be remained open from 10:30 pm to 8:00 pm daily for visitors with Tk 10 entry fee.
Among others, CEMS group director Shahid S. Sarwar, Managing Director of Rahimafrooz Superstores Limited Niaz Rahim and other CEMS officials were present at the press conference.
