Asian Int'l Trade Expo 2008 opens in city

Asian International Trade Expo 2008, a 10-day exhibition on Asian products and services, kicked off at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the city Monday.
CEMS (Conference and Exhibition Management Services Limited), USA in association with CEMS Bangladesh has organised the fair, said a press release.
Over 120 exhibitors from over seven countries with exhibit profile like consumer electronics, communication technology, automobiles, motorcycles, food and beverage, healthcare products, personal care and beauty products, household products, real estate companies, fashion and accessories, arts and crafts are taking part in the exhibition.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Industries Elias Ahmed inaugurated the expo as the chief guest, while President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh Syed Ershad Ahmed and Group Director of Rahimafrooz Bangladesh Limited Munawar Misbah Moin and President and Group Managing Director of CEMS USA and CEMS Asia-Pacific Meherun N Islam were the special guests.
Agora, a mega shop, is also a partner of the Asian International Trade Expo-2008.
The exhibition is open for visitors everyday from 10:30am to 8pm, the release added.
