Asian Shippers' Alliance re-elects Rezaul Karim as vice chairman

Md Rezaul Karim was re-elected as vice chairman of the Asian Shippers' Alliance (ASA) for the period of 2022-2024 from the member countries of the South Asia Region at the ASA Annual Meeting held at a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.
Mr Karim is the chairman of the Shippers' Council of Bangladesh (SCB).
He held the vice chairman position of ASA from 2017 to 2022.
Shippers' Council of Bangladesh (SCB) is the founder member of ASA, established in 2015.
Rezaul is the proprietor of S. N. Jute International, a pioneer jute exporting firm.
He is a member of the FBCCI General Body.
He was also chairman of Bangladesh Jute Association and former chairman of Private Sector Consultative Board of International Jute Study Group.
Lin Sun Mo, Willy, chairman, Hong Kong Shippers' Council (HKSC), and Dr Chaichan Chareonsuk, chairman, Thai National Shippers' Council, were also elected as vice chairmen.
All of them are contributing to the development and strengthening of the Asian Shippers' Alliance, says a press release.
