Asian University for Women to host Seventh Commencement May 11

CHATTOGRAM, May 02: Asian University for Women (AUW) will host its Seventh Commencement Ceremony on May 11 at Radisson Hotel, Chattogram. The Commencement will be presided over by Chancellor Cherie Blair.
One hundred women from countries across Asia and the Middle East are expected to graduate from the AUW on May 11. Dr Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi and Professor Rezwana Choudhury Bannya will give the keynote addresses during AUW's Seventh Commencement Ceremony.
The AUW authority held a press conference in this connection on the campus this morning. Registrar Dr Dave Dowland gave detailed information.
Vice Chancellor Professor Nirmala Rao said, "AUW is deeply honoured that Dr. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi and Professor Rezwana Choudhury Bannya will share experiences in their respective fields in the ceremony."
At the press conference Rehana Khan, Director of Admissions, and Suman Chatterjee, Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment, presented programmes for the admission of Asian University for Women (AUW) and the Summer School Program.
Head of Center for Career Development and International Programs Ameena Chowdhury talked about the post-graduation professional activities of Asian University for Women (AUW).
Among others President of the Asian University for Woman (AUW) Student Council Muntaha Chowdhury, Karima Khan, a student from Pakistan studying politics, philosophy, economics and development studies, and Mosammat Firoza Khatun, a student who came to study from the RMG sector, also shared their experiences at the press conference.
