ASP Masud accused in BIRDEM case

BIRDEM General Hospital management has filed a case of assault on doctors of the hospital and police official ABM Masud Hossain has been mentioned as an accused. BIRDEM senior security official Md Manik Molla filed the case with the Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Sunday. Masud Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Dhaka district, was held responsible for assaulting the doctors. Doctors went on a strike on April 15 protesting against the assault. They later went back to work after Masud was removed from duty. Masud, brother of a patient who died early last week, allegedly assaulted three doctors. The case was filed naming four people including Masud and 20-25 unnamed people, according to bdnews24.com.
