ASP's vehicle comes under 'bomb attack' in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, Dec 23 (UNB): The vehicle of an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) reportedly came under a bomb attack in Damurhuda Upazila on Sunday night.
Police shot the alleged attacker in the leg and detained him. ASP Abu Russel along with four constables was returning to his office after visiting an accident spot at Uthli in Jibannagar Upazila.
As they reached near Darshana Filling Station, a young man, Titu, 26, son of Mozahid of Islam Bazar in Darshana, threw a bomb at the vehicle at around 09:00 pm which exploded in a big bang, said Police Super Mahbubur Rahman.
The blast damaged the right windowpanes of the vehicle, he said.
However, the ASP and other policemen escaped the attack unhurt, the
SP said.
