Association of Insurance Executives elects new committee

The Association of Insurance Executives held a meeting on Monday to elect its new executive committee for a two-year term, effective from December 29, 2025.
The meeting unanimously elected Md. Hafiz Ullah, independent director of Karnaphuli Insurance Company Limited and Meghna Life Insurance Company Limited, as president of the association, and S. M. Shahidullah, chief executive officer of Crystal Insurance PLC, as its secretary general. The meeting was held in the conference hall of the Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA), says a press statement.
Other elected office-bearers are: Vice Presidents -- Md. Imam Shaheen, Dr Biswajit Kumar Mondal, and Quazi Mukarram Dastagir; Joint Secretary General -- Md. Moinuddin; Treasurer -- Muhammad Mahfuzur Rahman; Joint Treasurer -- Anamul Gani Chowdhury; Organizing Secretary -- Md. Saydul Islam (Chunnu); Social & Cultural Secretary -- Ferdous Ara Chowdhury Nimmi; Publication & Publicity Secretary -- Shakawat Hossain Mamun; Games & Sports Secretary -- Md. Nizamuddin; and Membrs -- Dr. A.K.M. Sarwar Jahan Zamil, Syed Sehabullah Al-Manjur, Md. Anwar Hossain, Bayazid Muztaba Siddique, Md. Kabir Hossain, Md. Monirul Islam Robi and Md. Lutful Alam.
Furthermore, the following professionals have been nominated as Advisers to the association: A.K.M. Iftekhar Ahmed, Kazi Mortuza Ali, M. A. Karim, B M Yousuf Ali and Fazlul Karim Munshi.
