Astellas gets 87pc of OSI shares

TOKYO, June 3 (Reuters): Astellas Pharma, Japan's No 2 drugmaker, said investors tendered about 87 per cent of OSI Pharmaceuticals' shares in response to its $4 billion bid for the US biotech firm.
Astellas was widely expected to gather enough shareholder support for the takeover after it sweetened its offer last month to $57.5 for each share.
