At least 51 killed in clashes in three districts

At least 51 people were killed in clashes of protesters with police and Awami League on Monday.
At least 35 people were killed and over 100 injured in clashes between the protesters and police in parts of Dhaka on Monday morning. Nine more were declared dead at a hospital at Uttara in Dhaka.
Sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said more than 100 people had been brought to the hospital since the morning.
Of them, 35 were declared dead by the physicians, the hospital sources said, reports UNB.
Some of the deceased were identified as Russell, 28, Abdur Rahman, 22, Abul Kalam, Abu Ishak, 52, Saiful Islam Tonmoy, 22, Azmat Miah, 22, Rakib Hossain, 25, and Manik Miah, 27.
In Habiganj, six people were killed in a clash between police and protesters in Baniachang upazila of Habiganj district on Monday during the ongoing.
The deceased were identified as Hasan, 12, son of Sanu Mia, Ashraful, 17, son of Nur Mia, Muzakkir, 40, son of Shamsher, Nayan, 18, Tofazzal, 18, son of Abdur Rauf, and Sadikur, 30.
Shamima Akter, Baniachang Upazila Health Complex, said the protesters brought out a procession from LR High School in the morning.
When the procession reached Banichang Police Station, police obstructed them, triggering chase and counter-chase.
At one stage, police fired bullets, leaving three people killed on the spot and 50 others injured.
The injured were taken to a local hospital where three people succumbed to their injuries.
Later, the local people set the police station on fire.
The agitated local people also encircled the Baniachong Police Station.
One killed in clash between protesters, AL activists in Rajshahi
In Rajshahi, a man was killed and 35 were injured in a clash between protesters and Awami League leaders and activists at Talaimari in Rajshahi district town on Monday during the nationwide indefinite curfew.
A group of protesters gathered at Talaimari intersection around 11 am.
Later, they tried to march towards Shaheb Bazar. When the protesters reached Sagarpara Kalpana Cinema Hall, a chase and counter-chase took place among Awami League activists and protesters.
Police also lobbed tear gas shells and fired sound grenades during the clash.
Later, a man was found dead near Shah Makhdum College.
Dr Shankar Dey Biswas, duty officer of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital, said 30-45 people with bullet injuries were admitted to the hospital.
Our correspondent adds: Following Sheikh Hasina's resignation on Monday, various government buildings and residences of local Awami League leaders and activists were attacked and vandalised in Cox's Bazar.
According to several Awami League leaders and activists, after news of Sheikh Hasina's resignation broke, a group of people marched through different areas of the city.
The agitated mob vandalised and set fire to the Cox's Bazar District Awami League office on Laldighi side, the residence of District Awami League President Mujibur Rahman and the house of former District Awami League President AKM Mozammel Haque, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Rafiqul Islam.
The home of Jhelongja Union Awami League General Secretary Kudrat Ullah Sikder was also vandalised and set ablaze by the agitated crowd.
Besides, numerous government buildings, including the Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station and the Traffic Police Box, were vandalised and set on fire.
Cox's Bazar District BNP President Shahjahan Chowdhury said Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country following the relentless student protests. This news has sparked widespread joy among students and residents in Cox's Bazar, with celebrations including the distribution of sweets throughout the neighbourhoods.
