Athena's Furniture opens its outlet in Chittagong

CHITTAGONG, Jan 14: Athena's Furniture and Home Decor, a house of quality furniture, opened its sale outlet in the city's Agrabad Access Road Friday.
Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Mayor M Manjur Alam and former president of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry MA Latif, MP jointly inaugurated the outlet.
The function was addressed, among others, by Mahjabeen Murshed MP, CCCI President Murshed Murad Ibrahim, directors Mahfuzul Hoque Shah, Md Shahin Alam and Morshed Arif Chowdhury as the guests of honour.
Chairman of Anwar Group Anwar Hossain, Group MD Monowar Hossain, MD of Athena's Hasina Monowar were present on the occasion.
The mayor said that business is an honest profession and the people involved in business should maintain moral ethics and principles in running business. Bangladesh products of improved quality have occupied a sound position throughout the globe.
Mr Latif put emphasis on product diversification for expansion of export as export of quality products is increasing day by day. He also suggested for concentration on quality of the products and urged the businesses to uphold the goodwill of the country through export. Essential goods industry like home decor has created a large number of employments in the country apart from generating revenue and enhancing foreign earnings, he added.
Mr Anwar said that Anwar Group had stated its journey in 1834 and reached almost two centuries through good customer services and business transactions.
