Atomic energy scientists assoc team calls on president

Newly elected office bearers of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Scientists Association, led by its president Md Monjurul Haque, made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Tuesday, reports UNB.
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the president of the activities of the association.
The delegation members said they have a radiation testing lab in Chittagong, 15 nuclear medicine centers and a tissue bank.
They also informed the president about various problems of the association and sought the president's cooperation to resolve those.
President Abdul Hamid expressed concern over the mixing of formalin in perishable food items including fruits and stressed taking programmes to stop the use of formalin in such anti-social activities.
The president also assured the delegation of his all-out cooperation to resolve their problems.
