Attack on CU teachers\\\' bus: 33 held

A total of thirty-three people have been arrested over bomb attack on a bus carrying the teachers of Chittagong University in Hathazari near the port city. Police on Saturday held three more Islami Chhatra Shibir activists over the bombing of the CU teachers’ bus bringing the number of the arrestees to thirty-three so far. ‘These Shibir activists have confessed to attacking the bus,’ Hathazari police OC Md Ismail claimed today. He said they were arrested in raids on various cottages in the campus. Fourteen people, including 11 CU teachers were injured, when a bus carrying them was bombed on Sept 10. The teachers alleged Shibir activists were behind the attack, according to bdnews24.com.
