Attack on journo: Dr Azam loses right to practice

Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) on Thursday suspended the registration of Dr Shafiul Azam for misconduct and deception as he assaulted Prothom Alo senior journalist Shishir Morol. Following the BMDC action, the doctor of ZH Sikder Women's Medical College Hospital in the capital’s Dhanmondi has lost his right to practice as a physician. Dr Shafiul Azam (BMDC Registration No A-21933) has been charged with professional misconduct and deceiving people, said a BMDC press release, according to a news agency.
