Attack on Rampal long march

BAGERHAT: At least 22 participants of the Dhaka-Rampal long march were injured in an attack by miscreants in the Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Project area under Rampal upazila Friday. The organisers of the long march claimed they were attacked by 40-50 people while preparing for a rally in the area around 1pm. Moulik Bangla, a citizens' platform, launched the Dhaka-Rampal long march on August 6 demanding that the construction of the coal-fired power plant at Rampal be stopped. —UNB
