Attempt to murder case lodged against ex-IGP Benazir

An attempt to murder case has been filed against former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed and nine others for attacking a supreme court lawyer and human rights activist Golam Mohammad Rabbani alias Nayon Bangalee near Matshya Bhaban area about 11 years back, reports BSS.
Begum Meherunnesa Haque, mother of Nayon Bangalee and member of national executive committee of BNP, filed a petition with a Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate court on Wednesday.
The court instructed the officer-in-charge Shahabagh thana to receive the complaint as a first information report.
