BB asks banks

Attend client complaints in time

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has instructed all banks concerned to settle clients' complaints against banks within the stipulated timeframe, as described in the Banking Regulation and Policy Department (BRPD) circular. The BB issued a circular to this effect on Monday.
In its circular, the central banks said, "It has been alleged that some banks are not taking necessary steps to respond to complaints/application made by clients against them as per the central bank's previous circulars, which is not acceptable at all."
