Attorney General Amin Uddin resigns

Senior Advocate Abu Mohammad (A M) Amin Uddin resigned from the post of attorney general on Wednesday. He submitted his resignation letter to the President, showing personal difficulties.
In the letter he said, "I like to express my gratitude for appointing me as the attorney general. After being appointed, I tried and did my best to discharge my duties with utmost sincerity and devotion."
"But, due to personal difficulties, now I am not in a position to continue my duties and responsibilities as the attorney general. Hence, I am tendering my resignation with immediate effect."
He was appointed on 8 October 2020 after the death of his predecessor Mahbubey Alam. Then Amin Uddin was the president of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA).
