Aureos Capital invests $5.0m in Apollo Hospitals

Aureos South Asia Fund (ASAF), an investment fund focused on the South Asian region, has invested US$ 5.0 million (Tk 343 million) as equity in STS Holdings Limited -- the owners of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka.
The ASAF is one of the 10 funds established by Aureos Capital, a joint venture between CDC Group, a UK Government Fund, and the Norfund, the Norwegian investment fund for developing countries that focuses on investments in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Apollo Hospitals Dhaka is the first world-class tertiary multi-specialised hospital in Bangladesh under private healthcare sector.
The investment will drive to implementing STS Holdings' plan of expanding broader healthcare services with desired resources and support.
