FE Report
The two-day Australian education exhibition began at the Dhaka Sheraton Hotel Tuesday.
The Australian High Commissioner in Bangladesh Douglas Foskett inaugurated the exhibition, organised jointly by the Australian Trade Commission of the Australian High Commission and IDP Education.
The exhibition ends today (Wednesday). The exhibition will remain open to all visitors from 10am to 5.00pm.
Douglas Foskett said more than 5,000 Bangladeshi students were currently studying in Australia and the high commission continued to receive a large number of student applications. Australia appreciated the fact that Bangladeshi students and their families had recognised the merit of Australian education, he added.
"At present more than 200,000 students from more than 140 countries, including Bangladesh, are studying in various education institutions in Australia," the High Commissioner said.
