Austria urged to import BD products

State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam on Wednesday laid emphasis on regular exchange of high-level official visit and trade delegations between Bangladesh and Austria to strengthen trade ties. He said Austria could import ceramic products, pharmaceuticals, bicycles and software from Bangladesh apart from traditional goods. The issues came up for discussion when newly-appointed Austrian Ambassador to Bangladesh (non-resident) Bernhard Wrabetz met Shahriar at his Foreign Ministry office. He informed the Austrian envoy that the government has taken an initiative to set up a diplomatic mission in Vienna and primary official works to that end is done, according to a news agency.
