Auto driver killed, housewife found dead in Pabna

PABNA, May 9: A housewife was found dead today morning and an auto driver was strangled to death and his vehicle taken away yesterday (Friday).
Police recovered the hanging body of a housewife from her bedroom at Hatpara village under Mothurapur union in Chatmohar upazila of the district on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Myna Khatun (25), wife of Jakir Hossian of the village and daughter of Mynal Ali Miah of village Danthia-Koirapara under Dibi union in the upazila.
On Friday at about 11am, finding the door of her bedroom locked from inside, her family members called her but there was no response.
Next morning, the victim's family members informed the matter to the Chatmohar police station.
Being informed, police rushed in, broke the door and recovered Myna's body hanging from the ceiling. The body was later sent to Pabna Mediacal College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
In another incident, the body of an autorickshaw driver was found at a canal of Ishwardi Regional Agriculture Research Centre (IRARC) on Friday noon.
The deceased was identified as Shariful Islam, 38, son of Nazrul Islam a residence of Durgapur-Maria in Rajshahi.
Quoting family members police said the auto rickshaw driver Shariful came to Ishwardi with some passengers in his vehicle on Friday morning. But he did not return home. At around 2.00pm the locals found the body in the IRARC's canal. motiarfe@gmail.com
