Auto rickshaw driver killed in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, Sept 14 (BSS): Some miscreants stabbed to death a battery-run auto-rickshaw driver and snatched his vehicle in Makhati area under Sadar upazila of the district Saturday night.
The deceased was Masud Bepary, 35, of Dhalagaon village of the upazila.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar thana Ferdous Hasan said some miscreants boarded it in the guise of passengers. When the vehicle reached at Makhati area the bandits tried to snatch it.
At one stage, they stabbed driver Masud with sharp weapons as he resisted their move to snatch the vehicle.
He died on the way to local hospital.
