Auto-rickshaw strike called off

The owners’ group, ‘CNG Auto-rickshaw Malik Samiti Oikyo Parishad’ said in a statement that they are not going ahead with the proposed strike. Communications Minister Obaidul Quader assured them that their five-point charter of demands would be met. They met the minister Monday afternoon, according to a news agency. “The strike will be enforced from April 15, if our five-point demand is not met in the next ten days,”said the statement signed by the group's Member Secretary ATM Nazmul Hassan.
