'Autorickshaw thief', 'robber' die in 'gunfights' in two districts

An alleged autorickshaw thief and a robber were killed in reported gunfights in two districts early Monday, reports UNB.
In Mymensingh: an alleged member of a gang of autorickshaw thieves was killed in a reported gunfight with detectives at Badekolpa in the district town.
The deceased was identified as Khalil, 37, son of Abdul Jalil of Bakchala village in Fulbaria Upazila.
Shah Kamal Akanda, officer-in-charge of Detective Branch (DB) of police, said being tipped off that a gang of auto-rickshaw thieves were selling stolen vehicles in the area a DB team raided the area at around 01:00 am.
In Cox's Bazar: an alleged robber ringleader was killed in a reported gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) at Chairar Deil of Matarbari union in Moheshkhali upazila here.
The deceased was identified as Nurul Quader Rana, 34, son of Nurul Haque of the area.
