Aviation assoc formed

Chairman of GMG Airlines Salman F Rahman has been made convener of the Aviation Operators' Association of Bangladesh (AOAB), a newly formed aviation trade body. The members of the country's private airlines, cargo carriers, air charter operators and flying academies at a meeting in the city recently formed the association, said a press release. An adhoc committee was also formed in the meeting. Members of the committee are: Managing Director of Easy Fly Express Group Captain (retd) M Shaukatul Islam, Executive Chairman of GMG Airlines Shayon F Rahman, Managing Director of Bismillah Airlines MA Mannan, Chairman and Managing Director of Meghna Aviation Ltd. Mostafa Kamal, Group Managing Director of Sky Capital Airlines Engr M Ahsanul Islam, Managing Director of Galaxy Flying Academy Masudur Rahman, Managing Director of Ruposhi Bangla Airlines Afzal Hossain, Director (Flight operations) of Ruposhi Bangla Airlines and Aviation Academy Ltd. Captain SM Nasimul Haque, Director (operations) and Chief Pilot of Meghna Aviation Ltd. Air Commodore (retd) M Golam Tawhid and Director (commercial) of Aviation Academy Ltd. Ehteshamul Haque (Ripon). Members present at the meeting termed the initiative timely befitting as there is no association for the country's private airlines, cargo carriers, air charter operators and flying academies.
