WHEN students are detached from studies for long due to vacation, idleness, illness or any other personal matter, they might feel reluctant to sit on the study table. It sometimes take days for them to start studying texts again. Such procrastination is very harmful for them.
Below are some tips about how to remove such procrastination. These tips might be helpful for those who already have a satisfactory study habit but want to study more effectively.
First, always keep in mind your aim in life. Remember that everyday is important to you for achieving your goals. So everyday comes to your life with huge potentials. You must utililse everyday. When you can utilise everyday and thus every week, you can expect to be what you want to be in life. Someone said: "How much you consistently achieve in a week is a reflection of how much you'll achieve what you set to do in life." Good study habit is a great means for you to achieve your goals. When you will think in this way, you will actually try to use your everyday and you can easily remove procrastination.
Second, never think "I will start studying from tomorrow". Never think "I will study from first day of the next month". Many students think in this way and it usually takes them more time to sit on the study table. When they start reading texts, it is already too late. The best time to start any work is NOW. So whatever busy schedule you might have and wherever you are, start studying today.
Third, you can start with the easier subject or the subject you feel most attracted to. This will help you to go back to the study table.
Fourth, you can join a study group or form a study group at the earliest-soon-- in order to be on the track and remove your procrastination.
Fifth, if you go the library, you will find a great environment of studying there. Everyone is busy in reading books. Try to spend time in the library. If you can make library your second home, success in life will be yours.
Sixth, you will surely feel better when you have some time on the study table. So why not spend your time at the study table as much as you can?
