Awareness on preventing child deaths stressed

RANGPUR, May 5 (BSS): Speakers at the launching ceremony of a week long campaign have stressed on creating adequate awareness on the reasons of various diseases among the rural people for preventing child deaths.
Fulbari Area Development Programme (ADP) of World Vision Bangladesh (WVB), an international NGO, organised the launching ceremony of the week long campaign 'Child Health Now' at its hall room in Fulbari upazila town of Dinajpur on Monday afternoon.
The campaign has been launched to create awareness among four lakh people of four unions under Fulabri upazila on ways and knowledge about reasons behind pneumonia, diarrhoea, complexities during delivery and malnutrition for preventing child deaths.
Fulbari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Moniruzzaman formally inaugurated the campaign in the ceremony as the chief guest with Senior ADP Manager of Birganj Cluster of the NGO Advent Tripland in the chair.
President of Bangladesh Manobadhikar Sangbadik Forum and Senior Reporter of BSS Khairuzzaman Kamal, President of Fulbari Press Club Amar Chand Gupta and Fulbari ADP Manager of WVB Pabitra B Costa attended the ceremony as the special guests.
