Azad inaugurates fishing vessel EuroStar-2

A deep sea fishing vessel 'EuroStar-2' which has a capacity of 205 MT financed by Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) was inaugurated at the Port of Chittagong on Sunday. The bank has invested Tk 213 million for building this deep sea fishing vessel, said a press release.
Chairman of the board of directors of SJIBL and former president of FBCCI AK Azad inaugurated the fishing vessel as the chief guest.
Among others, Managing Partner of M/s TH Fishing Company Md Helal Uddin Chowdhury, Vice-Chairman of the bank Mohammad Younus, former chairman and Director Akkasuddin Mollah, Director Md Sanaullah Shahid, Managing Director Farman R Chowdhury, Additional Managing Director Masihul Huq Chowdhury and President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mahbubul Alam were present at the inaugural ceremony.
Mr AK Azad said, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited gave emphasise on the diversification of investment. To increase production in industrial sector as well as export-import business, the bank is trying to contribute in national economy creating new employment opportunities in the SME sector.
