Azam Khan flies to Singapore for treatment

Ailing Bangla pop guru and freedom fighter Azam Khan flew to Singapore Wednesday for better medical treatment, reports bdnews24.com.
Azam's only son Hriday Khan is accompanying him. At about 1.30 pm they left Bangladesh in a Thai Airlines flight from Shahjalal International Airport.
The pop song pioneer has been suffering from mouth cancer. He will be admitted to Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Azam's elder daughter Ima Khan said that he was expected to reach Singapore at 11:00 pm.
Prior to getting on board the airplane, Azam talked to the reporters waiting at the Terminal-1 of the airport. He said, "I got your warm love when I was in the country. I expressed the hope that I'll come back to you and start working on some more albums. Pray for me so that I can again be with you."
