Muhammad Aziz Khan, the chairman of Summit Group, a business conglomerate in Bangladesh, has been ranked 41st among the top 50 richest people in Singapore, according to the American magazine 'Forbes', reports UNB.
The magazine published the list of the top 50 richest people in Singapore on Wednesday. His net worth is $1.12 billion, according to Forbes.
Aziz Khan was ranked 42nd in the 2022 list of Singapore's richest people by Forbes. His net worth was shown at $1.0 billion at that time.
This year, Aziz Khan has taken a step forward in the list of the richest people.
While his position is the 41st on the list for Singapore, he ranked 2540th in the list of world millionaires made by Forbes.
His net worth in 2021 was $990 million. In 2022, his wealth increased to a billion dollars. As a result, he is also included in the list of billionaires of Forbes.
According to Forbes, Aziz Khan sold 22 per cent shares of Summit Power International to Japanese company JERA for $330 million in 2019. Based on that sale price, Summit Power's market value was determined at $1.5 billion.
