B Chy against general strikes

Bikalpadhara Bangladesh President AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury said his party had no relation with those who destroyed public property by enforcing general strikes and other destructive activities.
"We are opposed to any destructive activities. But we support all peaceful political programmes," he said.
He was speaking at a programme in the city's Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh marking the sixth anniversary of the party Sunday, reports bdnews24.com.
The former President said, "People have voted the present government to power with a hope for change but there is no visible change."
"Violence and corruption have become a common phenomenon," he added.
Gonoforum President Kamal Hossain, Bangladesh Workers' Party Chief Rashed Khan Menon, Krishak-Sramik-Janata League president Bangabir Kader Siddiqui, Progressive Democratic Party chairman Ferdous Ahmed Quarishi, Awami League Leader Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Bikalpadhara secretary Abdul Mannan and its joint secretary Mahi B Chowdhury attended the function.
