B Chy demands govt resignation

President of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) Prof AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Sunday demanded resignation of the present government as it has failed to ensure the security of people’s lives. “It’s the duty of the government to ensure public security. If you fail to discharge the duty you should quit. We demand resignation of the government. B Chowdhury, also the former president, said this while addressing a mass-hunger strike programme on the National Press Club premises organised by BNP to register its protest against the government’s repressive acts and ‘growing incidents’ of extrajudicial killing and abduction. The BDB chief joined the programme expressing his solidarity with it, according to a news agency.
