BAB gets new chairman, vice chairmen

Abdul Hai Sarker, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dhaka Bank PLC, has been elected Chairman of Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) while Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Chairman, the Board of Directors of First Security Islami Bank PLC, and Romo Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman, Board of Directors of Bank Asia PLC, have been elected Vice Chairmen of the association for the remaining period of the current term (till February 28, 2025).

They were elected unanimously at the BAB Executive Committee meeting held at the Board Room of BAB on Monday, says a press release.
Abdul Awal Mintoo, Chairman, Board of Directors of National Bank Ltd. & former Chairman of BAB and FBCCI, presided over the meeting.
