Bad day for Bangladeshi GM in Kolkata Chess

All three Bangladeshi Grand Masters -GM Enamul Hossain Razib of Destiny 2000, GM Ziaur Rahman of Biman and GM Reefat Bin Sattar were beaten in their sixth round fixtures against respective opponents yesterday in the 4th Kolkata Open International Grandmasters Chess Tournament- 2009 now being held in Gorky Sadan, Kolkata, India, reports BSS.
In the 6th round games: Zia (Rating-2554) was beaten by GM Victor Laznicka (Rating-2634) of Cheq Republic and Razib (Rating- 2516) lost against GM Le Quang Leim (Rating-2587) of Vietnam.
Both players have so far accumulated four points eachafter the completion of the sixth round in Asia's leading chess tournament.
The other Bangladeshi players Minhazuddin Ahmed Sagar of Destiny have so earned 3 points, Debaraj Chatterjee of Destiny earned 2.5 points, GM Reefat Bin Sattar and FM Abu Sufian Shakil of Biman earned 2 points each after 6th round games.
In the 6th round, Sagar drew with GM Petr Kostenko of Kazakistan, Debaraj drew with FM Priyadharshan of India, Reefat lost against Premnath of India and Shakil lost against Arjun Tiwari of India.
