Bad weather holds dry fish processing

KHULNA, Dec 12: Processing of dry fish has been suspended in different fishermen colony in the coastal area of Sundarbans due to rough weather and low sunshine for last few days. Sea fishes worth about Tk 10 million has gone rotten for not being dried in the sunshine.
Sources said thousands of fishermen obtain fishes from the deep sea of the Bay of Bengal at the coastal area of Sundarban every year from October to March. Later they are made dry by processing in sunshine at the different char including Dublar Char and export different places of the country and abroad also.
