BADC saves Tk 100m wealth in Faridpur

FARIDPUR, Oct 4: Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC) Faridpur region deployed 15 water pumps to save thousands of houses, business centres, bazar and Aman paddy of about hundred acres from acute waterlogging. Water of the Padma went through the eastern part of Bhajandanga embankment and engulfed the area.
Agriculture and Water Resource Advisor CS Karim and Special Assistant to Chief Advisor M Tamim had visited the area recently. Agriculture Adviser ordered the BADC to remove the water from the area.
The situation improved at the immediate steps of BADC Executive Engineer (Faridpur region) Md Anwar Hossain and at the co-operation of the BADC officials.
Resource and asset of around Tk 100 million of the area were saved for this endeavour of BADC.
